Summer, Synco and More Swimming

First Off it is amazing at how fast a month can go by. Before you know it school will be back in and in our kids case we are just 3 Weeks away. It is insane that school starts down here so early, i mean come on now it is still 100+ degrees outside. But that is Arizona, I mean what else would you expect from a state that has a Governor who passes a Law to ALLOW people who have concealed weapons permits to carry a gun in to a bar or drink establishment. Apparently it is OK to mix Guns and Alcohol now. But this is also the same Governor that did not pass the 4th of July Fireworks law that would allow you to by small fireworks because she said it was to much or a safety concern to the public. But allowing people to carry a gun in to a bar is completely safe for everyone. OK I wont rant.

So yes summer is almost over for us and it seems to have just flown by. Taylor and Ryan did great this year in swim team and syncro. Taylor was 1 of 4 girls on her swim team to quality for the IM meet she did a great job swimming 4 laps of the pool at one time and even though she finished in 8th palace she really did a great job! Ryan also did great in swimming this year she swam very hard and was a lot of times just inches away from finishing in the top 2 in all her races. It's funny our kids are not competitive at all and sometime you just wish they where a little. But either way they are both great swimmers.

Holden is getting more and more comfortable in the water and he will go under water and kick his legs and move his arms as he tries to swim. He loves going down in the shallow water and picking up swim rings of the bottom. Its fun to see him in action.

Last week Ryan finished up with syncro. 2 weeks ago her and her partner finished 3 in the qualifying meet. They did a duet to the song "Conga" and yes it was the one with the Miami Sound machine! In the finals they finished in 5th place missing 3rd place by just .2. They made up for that by taking first place in the Team Routine with a wonderful number to a Marry Poppins Remix of songs. I will say this I am sure she is glad that is all over now, because getting up at 6:30 every morning is now way to spend your summer!

Here is a little video of her Duet number.

A very busy summer it has been!

Wow I can not believe it has been two months since we last posted something on here.. It is amazing at how fast time seems to go. One would think that since school was out life would slow down abit but it hasn't. Ryan and Taylor are busy again this year with the usaually activites. Ryan is doing Syncronized Swimming, Swim Team and a mix of Musical workshop and Volleyball camps finished off with a touch of Kids Club. Taylor too has been busy with Swim Team and Diving and has Also been going to Kids Club this week. This has really worn them out. Even Holden has been taking swimming lessons and attending Kids club. Both syncro and swim team have been alot of fun for the kids, they both have done very well. Ryan has Placed 5th and 8th at her Two syncro skills meets and has done very well in her Two swim meets just missing out on a first place ribbon last night. Taylor has also done Very well in both her swim meets in fact last night she lead her face all the way to the last 10 feet of so until she started lifting her head up trying to see when the wall was comming up. Kendel is getting big, she is very long and loves to talk to Shaun. She and Holden have started to build a cute little bond and Holden loves to rub her face and call her the "Jelly man". We are hoping to have things calm down about once we get in to July when the Kids will only have swimming. Hope everyone has a great summer!

It's Been awhile....

Ok so we are bad at making sure we keep this up to date with what kind of happenings are happpening in Reedy land. A lot has gone on since we last posted, I guess we should start at the beginning with Taylor turning 8 and being baptized. What an awesome proud moment as a parent to be able to see your child make that commitment. Now of course it could have not gone any other way then the Guinn way ( Which means starting 15 min late), and having the font drain completly because of a Screw had come undone from the Drain. Thank goodness Taylor is still tiny because we only had to fill the font back up about 2 feet deep in order for her to go under. Once the Baptizm was over we also Blessed Kendel. That was pretty neat to see both of our Girls in white Dresses. I know this is short and simple but most of what I am typing here happened back on March 27th . Oh and Migaela and I had out 10 year Anniversiry, It is amazing how fast time goes by as you get older and your kids grow up. Any who here are a few pictures from that day.

Hadababyitsa....Girl!!!

Kendel Kay Reedy

She's here!!! Migaela is home and so is the baby and they both are doing great. Thursday was a crazy day and it did not go as planned. Migaela was scheduled to go in and be induced on Thursday morning at 7 am and to have an ultrasound done because the Doctor was concerned that the baby was going to be a big baby. We had to wait most of the day before we could finally get called in to the hospital because 11 other women had gone into labor. Mig went and got her ultrasound done at around 12:30 and while she was there they called us in. The ultrasound showed that the baby was going to be around 10 lbs +/- 1 lbs and because of this the doctor wanted to do a C-section which neither one of us really wanted to do and or had planned on doing. After a long one way conversation with the doctor(he being the one doing all the talking) we went ahead and were scheduled to have the C-section done at around 7:30 pm. It was kinda fun because I felt like I was the Guy on the Biggest loser who's wife was induced at the same hospital last summer during the recording of the show, although he did get nicer scrubs then I did. Migaela had Kendel at 7:52 that night and she was not as big as the doctor was thinking. Her stats at birth were:
9lbs 3 oz

21 3/4 inches

She is a cutie.... She has about as much hair if not a little bit more then Holden and has a round little face. Both her and Migaela came home today(she wanted to watch the Super Bowl at home) are doing great! The kids are loving her and even Holden will walk around asking wheres the baby?

We are very happy with our new little addition!

THUNDERCATS ARE GO!!!

We have been given the green light and the doctor has said it is time for this baby to come out. Today Migaela went to the doctor and to some up the last few weeks of visit he has been wanting us to have a game plan and has been hinting at the idea of inducing Migaela. The impression is that he does not like delivering babies in the 9+ pounds range and has been gaging Mig's thoughts towards this. Today they had a good talk and have decied to go ahead and Have Migaela get an Ultrasound Thursday morning at 6:30 and then head over to the hospital to get the show on the Road. We have the full range of emotions going right now, you would think after 3 kids it would be easier but its not and needless to say I am sure tonight will be a sleepless night.

We will keep everyone posted !

Why you should NOT ride public transpotation....

So Ryan has been begging to ride the new light rail system in Phoenix, after Grandma and Pop had rode it just for fun (twice). So last Saturday Shaun and I decided to take the kids for a ride. We got on at Main and Longmore and rode into Downtown Phoenix. It really doesn't pass anything interesting along the way. The kids kept wanting to get off and do something, eat somewhere, something but there wasn't anything to get off for. We reached Downtown and got off the train. Downtown was a zoo because of the Motocross event going on so we decided to just take it back home, so we walked down to get on at the station in front of Chase Field. We got on and sat down and a cross the isle was this man and his friend wearing A white dress shirt, a tie, sports jacket and NO PANTS. Yes I said NO PANTS!!!!Yes this man was wearing his Boxer shorts. I mean he was even wearing dress socks, and yet he had forgot his pants. Ryan and Taylor was whispering and asking... " Umm Mom where is his pants"? How do you respond to such a question.

Thank goodness for camera phones. Shaun was sitting behind me so he was able to take the picture without the guy knowing. This made the long uneventful ride all worth it. Just looking at the picture makes me laugh. This is all the proof you will ever need to know that you should never ride Public Transportation when you are in Phoenix.
