THUNDERCATS ARE GO!!!

We have been given the green light and the doctor has said it is time for this baby to come out. Today Migaela went to the doctor and to some up the last few weeks of visit he has been wanting us to have a game plan and has been hinting at the idea of inducing Migaela. The impression is that he does not like delivering babies in the 9+ pounds range and has been gaging Mig's thoughts towards this. Today they had a good talk and have decied to go ahead and Have Migaela get an Ultrasound Thursday morning at 6:30 and then head over to the hospital to get the show on the Road. We have the full range of emotions going right now, you would think after 3 kids it would be easier but its not and needless to say I am sure tonight will be a sleepless night.

We will keep everyone posted !

Why you should NOT ride public transpotation....

So Ryan has been begging to ride the new light rail system in Phoenix, after Grandma and Pop had rode it just for fun (twice). So last Saturday Shaun and I decided to take the kids for a ride. We got on at Main and Longmore and rode into Downtown Phoenix. It really doesn't pass anything interesting along the way. The kids kept wanting to get off and do something, eat somewhere, something but there wasn't anything to get off for. We reached Downtown and got off the train. Downtown was a zoo because of the Motocross event going on so we decided to just take it back home, so we walked down to get on at the station in front of Chase Field. We got on and sat down and a cross the isle was this man and his friend wearing A white dress shirt, a tie, sports jacket and NO PANTS. Yes I said NO PANTS!!!!Yes this man was wearing his Boxer shorts. I mean he was even wearing dress socks, and yet he had forgot his pants. Ryan and Taylor was whispering and asking... " Umm Mom where is his pants"? How do you respond to such a question.

Thank goodness for camera phones. Shaun was sitting behind me so he was able to take the picture without the guy knowing. This made the long uneventful ride all worth it. Just looking at the picture makes me laugh. This is all the proof you will ever need to know that you should never ride Public Transportation when you are in Phoenix.

2008 Rewind.....

2008 was a year that just seemed to fly by. It was filled with fun, family trips, and a few surprises. In April we loaded up the family Tahoe (modern day station wagon) and went to Disneyland to watch Ryan and Taylor perform at California Adventure. We also figured it would be a great time to see Shaun's Mom and brothers and sisters so we invited them to join us. Shaun's Mom Sharon and his two brothers Bryan and Jordan as well as Amy and Her Husband(at the time... yeah long story) and Melissa and her boyfriend (also at the time..) as well as her two children Parker and Nevaeh all flew in to meet us and enjoy 3 fun filled days at Disneyland. We had a great time in that this was Holden's 1st trip ever to the Magic Kingdom with Ryan and Taylor being old pros in that this was their 3rd trip. We had a wonderful time seeing all the Characters, riding all the rides and seeing all the great Disney shows. It was fun to see Holden get all excited to see Mickey and Pluto as well as watch the "Jedi Training Academy". Both Ryan and Taylor did a fantastic job dancing at California Adventure. It was very nice to have Shaun's family there to visit with and enjoy a wonderful time at Disneyland.

This Spring continued to be a fast paced end to the school year for us. Upon returning home we had girls softball and dance that continued until the end of the school year. Softball was a great time for the girls in that they played with their cousins Morgan and Macey as well as were coached by their dad Shaun. The Blue Jay's had a great season finishing with the best record in the 10 team league. Both girls had great seasons, Ryan who had played the year before hit the ball great and never had a game where she did not get a hit. Taylor being her first season was fun to watch in that she is so petite and the bat was about half the poor girls size. She did get the hang of it and finished the season strong with hits in the last few games. We both where very proud of how well they did!

Just before the school year ended we were surprised by Taylor. Taylors First Grade class as well as the rest of the entire Gilbert Public School System wrote essays. Our little Taylor wrote an essay titled "All about Penguins" well as it turns out she has quite a knack for writing and she won 1st Place in the district for her wonderful essay. We may just have the next J.K Rowling on our Hands!
School ended and summer began and well that only meant one thing.. Swimming Season. The girls both rejoined the Carson swim team for another year and Ryan this year also wanted to add Synchronized Swimming. So she joined the team. Now at the time the season began Ryan was only 8 years old and should have been in a group of kids that where her age, but instead she chose to swim with her Friends in the 9-11 age group division. ( Ryan was the only 1st year girl in this age group). Ryan got up every morning for 8 weeks at 6:30 to get off to practice by 7 for syncro and then swim team practice at 8, with Taylor right behind her with practice at 9. This not only kept the girls busy but me as well with car pool and running back and forth to the pool. Both Ryan and Taylor practiced 4 days a week for 8 weeks in the freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breast stroke. They both did a great job in both their individual races as well as relay races. They both earned a ton of ribbons for all of their achievements.

Ryan really enjoyed synchronized swimming and as each week went by she would finish just a little bit better then the week before when they would compete individually doing different skills and routines. By the end of the season Ryan and her partner had practiced very hard in learning their routine to the song "It's My Party". Ryan entered in to the Mesa Parks and Recreation synchronized swimming Competition. Ryan went on to win First Place at the Divisional Meet. Her Scores where a Full Point Higher then any other group that competed. All of this from a girl who had never done syncro before and who was competing against girls up to 3 years older then her. She did an AWESOME JOB and truly is blessed with a talent of Performing and Grace.

Near the end of the summer we went on the Guinn Family Reunion that took us to Montpelier Idaho and Bear Lake Utah. We had a wonderful time visiting with all of my brothers and sisters as well as all the Guinn Cousins. The trip would have been better if poor Ryan would have not gotten sick on the trip. As it turned out, an out break had occurred at a large number of schools in the Phoenix and Mesa public pools. Ryan and all the girls on her syncro team contracted the krypto bacteria and where sick for a little more then a week. Ryan had no energy and could not keep anything down. She was so wiped out that she missed out on a lot of the fun family activities. One of which was the tour of the Minnatonka Caves just inside the Idaho/Utah border. It was great to see everyone and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in 09 at New Port Beach.(We hope).
During our Trip to Utah we played a game with all the couples and in that game each couple had to write down how they met and one thing about them that the rest of the couples would have to guess. We found this to be a great time to let everyone know that Shaun and I where expecting our 4th child in February. By this time we had already known that I was having another girl. It worked out perfect because we ended up being the last couple chosen out of the hat and it was a good way to end the game.
We then returned home to finish out the Rest of the summer with daily swimming at Carson Pool and watching our beloved Diamondbacks lose their lead in the NL West. Yes we are BOTH big Baseball fans, even Holden is a fan. He loves to go out back with his dad and hit balls. He has a great eye for it and has a swing for the game. He also has a great arm and if he has a ball in hand you had better watch out.
School began again in the fall and so did my daily Trek out to the girls school. I drive about 25 miles round trip 2 sometimes 3 times a day depending if Ryan has dance. But the kids love the school they attend and it is worth it for them to have a good education.
Shaun has been busy with work and traveling all year long. He has been all over the country this year for his job. He has been out to Chicago and Indianapolis, Las Vegas 3 times, Orlando Florida,as well as Mobile Alabama and Mississippi. He enjoys his job and has seemed to really start understanding the ins and outs of selling Commercial Real Estate.

The year ended with a fun filled Christmas season. Christmas Eve the kids opened their gifts from Shaun's mom Grandma Saxton that has become a family tradition in that she gets the kids new pajamas and slippers each year. We love this and so do the kids they look forward to the wonderful new jammies and the little extra necklace or rings that Grandma always seems to sneak in. Christmas morning was a blast. Holden who lives, eats and breathes Star Wars had a Star Wars Christmas. All of his gifts where related to Star Wars in one way or another and he loves Playing with his "Clinkers" and "Roger Rogers" (Battle Droids from the new Star Wars Movies)as well as his General Grievous. Or he will get dressed up in his Halloween costume and pretend he is a "Trooper" and run around shooting all the Clinkers. Ryan and Taylor also had a great Christmas with the Nintendo Wii and well now everyones Favorite "Rock Band 2" The kids and adults spent more than 7 hours straight playing and Rocking out to such songs as "Eye of the Tiger" Hungry Like A Wolf" and "That's what you Get. The performer in Ryan comes out every time we play it and she will Sing and Dance to every song that she knows. She really is a performer.

This year really seemed to fly by with all the trips and fun we have had. Each one of my wonderful children keep us on our toes with Ryan's Busy dance schedule, Taylors brutal honesty that keeps up laughing at every moment. Here is a little story of her personality. About 2 months ago my mom and I were talking and Taylor was just hanging out with us in the office with my mom talking about how she would love to lose 30 to 40 pounds after the holidays and Taylor who is just sitting there listening says to her self " Yeah Right like that would ever happen" My mom and I were dying laughing. Taylor will always tell you what she is thinking no matter what it is. She is not trying to be funny but the way she says things just makes us die laughing. Holdens is a little boy through and through. He loves baseball and Football. Loves playing guys and even thinks that his dad goes to play baseball for his job.

Before we know it our wonderful new baby Girl will be here. For those of you who do not know her name will be Kendel Kay Reedy. The Kay is both mine and Shauns moms middle name. We are very nervous and excited to see her and have her join the mix of Reedy Madness.

Happy New Year to everyone and we wish you all blessings of Love and Happiness
